Lymphedema is a protein rich fluid accumulation in the body tissues due to reduced lymphatic transport capacity as a result of damage to the lymphatic vessels and nodes. Lymphedema can also be due to the absence or malformation of lymphatic structures from birth. In short, the lymphatic system has a reduced transport capacity.

All initial bookings require a 30 minute consultation call to review your medical history and insure that treatment is safe for you. The fee for the call will be applied to your next visit, or if CDT/MLD is not indicated for your condition I will issue a refund.

 

If it is safe to move forward with treatment, your first in-person appointment will be further review of your medical history, any surgery reports, information from your doctors, any information requested from our call. We will take measurements as well as go over risk assessment and recommended treatment plan.
